Idrissa Gueye is delighted with Everton’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace and has it described as ‘a good day at Goodison’.

Goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson, compatriot Oumar Niasse and Tom Davies were enough to see the Toffees topple their visitors who got a late consolatory effort via Luka Milivojevic’s penalty.

The result saw Sam Allardyce’s side return to winning ways after last week’s 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The win was even more significant for the Toffees who have been the dominant of the two sides in this fixture - now unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games against the Eagles [three wins and four draws] - as they claimed their first maximum points over Crystal Palace at the Goodison Park since April 2005.

And Gueye took to the Instagram to share his happiness, captioning a picture in which he was in a jubilant mood with Niasse: ‘a good day at Goodison’.
