AccuScore’s predictions are based on 10,000-plus simulations performed by the company’s computer.  Throughout the baseball season, AccuScore will be stacking up its projections against Las Vegas odds and recommending wagers when value presents itself.

Odds are available in Las Vegas as of 2 p.m. ET on Thursday.  Check The Linemakers on Sporting News' odds page for current Las Vegas baseball lines.

Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants: OVER 7.5 +110
Ryan Vogelsong vs Mike Bolsinger

Neither of these pitchers impressed in AccuScore simulations and both teams have quality batters who can drive in runs.  The Dodgers are expected to score aplenty, led by Adrian Gonzalez. They have been somewhat lackluster in that category for the first two games at AT&T Park, but that is expected to change tonight. AccuScore simulations set the odds for OVER 7.5 runs at -130, so +110 present great value.

Tampa Bay Rays -105 (vs. Boston Red Sox)
Jake Odorizzi vs Clay Buchholz

The Red Sox had a pitching meltdown last night after leading 5-1 in the sixth inning, when Tampa Bay scored its first four of six unanswered runs.  The momentum is heavily on the Rays side and confidence is sky high. Jake Odorizzi is expected to have an excellent game while Clay Buchholz continues to struggle.   The Rays win 59.5 percent of 10,000 simulations, which would indicate odds of -146. There’s good value in betting the Rays  -104.

AccuScore’s year-to-date record for Linemakers: 13-12 (+1.65 units)
