AccuScore's MLB picks of the day: Rays, Giants provide value image

AccuScore’s predictions are based on 10,000-plus simulations performed by the company’s computer.  Throughout the baseball season, AccuScore will be stacking up its projections against Las Vegas odds and recommending wagers when value presents itself.

Here are two picks for Friday:

Tampa Bay Rays -114 (vs. New York Yankees)
Adam Warren vs Nathan Karns
The Rays might not be as bad as many have assumed.  AccuScore predicts the Rays to have 58.9 percent probability to beat the Yankees tonight, which translates into odds of -143.  At -114 odds, which imply a 53.3 percent chance to win, there’s value on Tampa Bay.

San Francisco Giants -130 (vs. Arizona Diamondbacks)
Josh Collmenter vs Jake Peavy
The Giants lost last night after a long exchange in extra innings and are looking to end a seven-game losing streak (the last four losses have been at home).  The defending World Series champs were at the wrong end of a sweep by Rockies and are now in danger of being humiliated by the Diamondbacks. AccuScore's prediction gives a 59.7 percent chance for the Giants to win, which translates into odds of  -148.  There's small value at -130, but value nevertheless.

AccuScore's year-to-date record for LM: 7-5 (+2.53 units)
