Aston Villa vs. West Brom odds and pick - In-form Baggies visit relegation-wary Villans image
Aston Villa take on West Brom in what promises to be a fiercely contested west Midlands derby at Villa Park on Tuesday (2:45 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network).

Villa's relegation fears intensified at the weekend as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat by Newcastle, and they will be desperate to claim all three points when they go head to head with the Baggies.

The hosts, though, have claimed just one victory in their last 11 Premier League matches on home soil and can be backed at +160 odds with the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook to claim a much-needed win against Tony Pulis's side at Villa Park.

West Brom's hopes of avoiding relegation were boosted by a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday afternoon, and the Baggies can be backed at +190 at the Westgate to follow up with a derby triumph. The same book offers +210 that the match ends in stalemate.

Remarkably, the Villans have notched just 13 goals in 27 Premier League fixtures thus far this term, and Tim Sherwood knows that his side must become sharper in front of goal if they are to stand any chance of avoiding relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.

One man whom Sherwood will be hoping can rediscover his scoring touch is Belgium international Christian Benteke. The 24-year-old scored the winning goal when Villa recorded a thrilling 4-3 win over the Baggies at Villa Park last season and, while that scoreline is unlikely to be repeated on Tuesday, Benteke can be backed at 5-to-1 odds to score the first goal of the game.  Such a prop is available outside of Las Vegas.

Saido Berahino is likely to lead the line for the Baggies in Birmingham and the 21-year-old striker is certainly in a rich vein of form.

Berahino has found the net in three of his last four matches for West Brom and looks to be decent value at 5-to-1 to open the scoring for the visitors at Villa Park.

It is worth noting that both teams have scored in no fewer than nine of the last 11 meetings between these two sides and, therefore, there may be value in backing goals at both ends at +110.

However, the Baggies have lost just once in 2015 and, with Villa desperately short of confidence – and goals – there is value to be had in backing West Brom at a pick 'em at generous even-money odds on the goal spread at the Westgate. This wager will see your money returned if the match ends all square while still offering a tasty price on the in-form side getting the win.

Last season's 4-3 win for Villa was their only victory over West Brom in the last eight head-to-head meetings and, with Pulis's side looking much the stronger in recent weeks, it could pay to side with the Baggies, who have taken maximum points from this fixture three times in the same timeframe.

Goal.com best bet: West Brom pick 'em (+100)
