Chievo vs Juventus: TV channel, live stream, team news & preview image

All eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo this weekend as he makes his Serie A debut for Juventus against Chievo.

The Portuguese international made the sensational switch from Real Madrid this summer and only made his first friendly appearance for the club when Juve's senior side thrashed their Under-23 team 8-0.

The Italian champions will be looking to defend their title for an eighth consecutive season, and will not be a complacent side as they gear up to face Chievo, who finished 13th in Serie A last season.

Match Preview

Cristiano Ronaldo Paulo Dybala Juventus

Juventus had a successful pre-season participating in the International Champions' Cup, beating Bayern Munich 2-0 and winning against Benfica in a penalty shootout but ultimately coming up short against Real Madrid in their final game, losing 3-1.

Ronaldo missed Juventus' pre-season campaign in the United States but will start against Chievo, and his arrival was part of a larger re-shuffling within the Serie A side as Allegri looked to freshen up his squad.

Club veteran and captain Gianluigi Buffon transferred to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, while Juve also sold Gonzalo Higuain to Milan – as the Argentine forward found himself buried under the pecking order.

Allegri warned his side not to become complacent against Chievo despite the presence of Ronaldo and their experience in winning titles, telling reporters: "We shouldn't think that, with Ronaldo, we'll win regardless. He brings extra value to our team.

"On paper, we're the strongest team in Serie A, but that's not enough. We have to show that burning desire to go the extra mile every single day in order to get our rewards."
