West Ham United are showing keen interest in bringing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson to London Stadium this summer, with talks said to have already begun.

The current transfer window has been a relatively quiet one for the Gunners so far. Last season's Premier League runners-up have made only one signing, with goalkeeper David Raya joining the club permanently after spending last season on loan at the Emirates.

Manager Mikel Arteta  has already outlined plans bolster his squad further ahead of the new season, as his side seek to go one better than their second-place Premier League finish in each of the past two campaigns.

Naturally, though, that may mean the club will have to be willing to sell some players in a bid to generate additional funds. And as per Football Insider, West Ham are one of those thought to be ready to take advantage by signing Nelson.

The attacker had to settle for playing backup last season, and was limited to 257 minutes of top-flight action thanks to the sparkling form of Bukayo Saka out wide.

A lack of trust from Arteta in Nelson is thought to have frustrated the Hale End product, who may now see a move across London as a chance to reignite his career.

New West Ham coach Julen Lopetegui has already been backed in the transfer market, with a £40 million deal for Max Kilman from Wolves already done and more active interest ongoing as he considers other recruits.

Nelson signed a new deal last summer that is thought to see him take home around £100,000-a-week wages, which could be the only stumbling block to the Hammers doing a deal.
