Defending champions Manchester City will host Fulham for a Premier League clash on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.

After four consecutive wins, the Citizens managed only two points in their next two games. They were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United last week. Pep Guardiola's side comes into this game following a 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Fulham, meanwhile, secured a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest in their previous Premier League fixture. They are currently sitting sixth in the points table.

Man City vs. Fulham predicted lineups, team news

City still expect to be without Kevin De Bruyne this weekend, with Guardiola hoping to have the midfielder fully fit again after the October international break.

Rodri is out for the season with a serious knee injury, while Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake are sidelined. It's left the champions looking just a little light on options.

Guardiola could bring Jack Grealish back into the starting lineup, while Bernardo Silva should also return after being an unused substitute against Slovan Bratislava. Kyle Walker and Ruben Dias will likely return to the back four, and Ederson will start in goal.

Man City predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Ederson (GK) — Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol — Gundogan, Kovacic — Silva, Foden, Grealish — Haaland

Injured: Rodri, De Bruyne, Bobb, Ake
Suspended: None

Carlos Vinicius is not likely to be fully recovered from a calf injury suffered last month, while summer signing Jorge Cuenca is struggling with an ankle problem.

Rodrigo Muniz may offer a more mobile option in attack than Raul Jimenez, particularly with Fulham likely to play on the counter-attack. Adama Traore and Alex Iwobi should keep their places for that very reason.

Fulham predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Leno (GK) — Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson — Pereira, Lukic — Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi — Rodrigo Muniz

Injured: Vinicius, Cuenca
Suspended: None

Man City vs. Fulham Prediction

The defending champions are without a few of their star players, but they still have a strong lineup. They are currently on a 47-game unbeaten streak at home and are likely to extend their run on Saturday.

Despite having an experienced defenders like Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, and Manuel Akanji, City has struggled to keep clean sheets. But they have managed to compensate for that with their quality attack.

Fulham's counter-attack could reward them with a goal in the game, but City is likely to come out as the winner.

  • Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Fulham
