Tottenham turned in one of their finest tactical performances under the management of Mauricio Pochettino against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, and will hope to build on that momentum against Liverpool this weekend.
Spurs went toe-to-toe with the European champions, earning a 1-1 draw to preserve their unbeaten record in Europe thus far this season and take them a step closer to qualification for the knockout stages.
The Reds, too, were in fine fettle, earning a remarkable and record-breaking 7-0 victory over Maribor to set themselves up for their trip to Wembley.
SPURS INJURIES
Mousa Dembele travelled with the Spurs squad for the Real Madrid clash, but he remains a doubt for the encounter with Liverpool due to an ankle injury.
Ben Davies missed the game at the Bernabeu due to illness, and it remains to be seen if he will recover in time to face Jurgen Klopp's men.
Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela are certain to miss the game, though winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou could return to the squad after suffering a concussion.
SPURS SUSPENSIONS
Neither side has any suspensions to worry about heading into the match.
SPURS POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP
Danny Rose is in contention for Tottenham, after coming off the bench in the closing stages of the 1-1 draw with Real, and he could come back in at left-back, with Jan Vertonghen restored to a central role.
It is, though, more likely that Rose will again begin the game on the bench, as he continues to build up his fitness.
Dele Alli is likely to return to the XI after continuing to serve his European suspension in midweek, with Moussa Sissoko rested following a lung-busting performance at the Bernabeu, while Son Heung-Min could also start in place of Fernando Llorente.
Harry Winks impressed against Real and is likely to continue in the starting XI, while Kieran Trippier may replace Serge Aurier at right wing-back.
LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS
Jurgen Klopp will definitely be without key winger Sadio Mane against Spurs, after the Senegal international sustained a hamstring injury on international duty in early October.
Mane was initially set to be out for around six weeks, but he has been selected by international manager Aliou Cisse for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa on November 10 and 14.
Adam Lallana, a former charge of Pochettino's at Southampton, will also miss out, and is not scheduled to return until November due to a thigh problem.
Defender Nathaniel Clyne and goalkeeper Adam Bogdan are long-term absentees.
