Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a swap deal with Aston Villa as they look to strengthen their midfield before the summer transfer window closes.
The North London club, led by Ange Postecoglou, is keen on adding more depth to their squad, with Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey emerging as a key target.
After a busy summer that saw the arrival of Dominic Solanke and young talents Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, Tottenham are now focusing on bolstering their midfield.
Despite Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr being expected to hold down the fort in midfield, and Rodrigo Bentancur set for more playing time, Spurs are not satisfied.

Tottenham target Ramsey as midfield reinforcement
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are exploring the possibility of a swap deal involving Giovani Lo Celso and Aston Villa's Ramsey.
Romano hinted that Lo Celso’s departure could pave the way for Tottenham to make a move in the midfield market.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT he stated: "I think they will look at something in the midfield. If Lo Celso leaves after Hojbjerg, it could be the case for Tottenham to do something in that position."
In addition to Ramsey, Spurs are also said to be eyeing Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich to add speed and creativity to their attack.
The positive relationship between Bayern and Tottenham, established through past deals involving Harry Kane and Eric Dier, could facilitate any potential transfer.
