Southampton host Tottenham Hotspur at St Mary's hoping to pick up three points at home to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

The Saints have been underperforming this season and find themselves among the bottom pack thanks to a run of 10 Premier League games without a win.

Spurs, on the other hand, are in excellent form, and travel to the south coast on the back of a magnificent 4-0 win over Everton to keep them within touching distance of the top four.

GAME PREVIEW

Heung-Min Son Tottenham West Ham

While Southampton will be looking to record an overdue win in the league, having failed to pick up three points in any of their games in December or January. A 1-0 away victory over Fulham was a reminder that the Saints are capable of better than they have shown, but they are still not doing enough up front.

Shane Long finally broke his goal drought, but their top scorer this season is Charlie Austin with six goals, and he is currently injured.

Goals have been much easier to come by for Spurs, with Harry Kane finishing the year in style and then picking up where he left off in January. The England international has 20 Premier League goals so far this season, with Heung-Min Son already on eight for the 2016-17 campaign.

Spurs' defence has also been excellent this season, even with injuries ruling some key players out, and average less than a goal against each game. Southampton will find it difficult to record a win against Pochettino's side, and will likely see their run extend to 11 league games without a win.
