Pep Guardiola is confident that Manchester City pair, Oscar Bobb and James McAtee, are going to have a significant impact on the first team this season.
Both players gained valuable experience during pre-season, which earned them their starting positions in the Community Shield match at Wembley. In a tightly-contested Manchester derby, City emerged winners after a 7-6 penalty shootout win against Manchester United.
Alejandro Garnacho gave United the lead in the 82nd minute, but City equalized just before full-time.
Man of the Match Bobb provided a delightful cross for Bernardo Silva to head home, forcing the game to penalties. Despite Silva missing City's first penalty, Guardiola's men ultimately secured victory, with Manuel Akanji converting the winning spot-kick, earning City their seventh Community Shield and their first since 2019.

The win came despite the absence of key players like Rodri, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker, and John Stones, who were still on extended summer breaks.
Pep: We want more
Guardiola explained how Bobb and McAtee have the trust of their teammates.
"I know them, especially McAtee, from a long time ago. We saw Oscar last season. They have the confidence from their mates. They adore them. They can rely on them.
"Oscar makes a fantastic game in the States. Macca’s first two games in the US were not good but every game he is better and today was closer to the McAtee he can be."

The City boss then went into further detail on Bobb:
"We want more," Pep added. "Sometimes he had the chance to take the ball and go and he was a little bit passive.
"He has something unique; be stopped then go, first one or two steps, right or left are unbelievable.
"The goal, how he turns and make the cross, huge quality. He has incredible values and work ethic. He has the ability to do it and he can do it more regularly."
