There's been plenty of talk around Liverpool and Anthony Gordon this summer, and those rumors show no signs of fading as we head into the final few weeks of the summer transfer window.
Newcastle forked out £45 million ($57.5m) to sign the winger from Everton in January 2023 and he has since proven to be worth every penny, emerging as one of the best players in the Premier League last season as he scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in his 35 appearances.
Despite this, the 23-year-old was extensively linked with a transfer away earlier this summer as Newcastle desperately tried to balance the books and avoid a points deduction for breaking the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The Reds were purportedly close to signing him earlier this summer, with a medical scheduled before Newcastle made a U-turn and a move was halted.
Gordon's reported eagerness to join Liverpool has fuelled recent speculation that this story still has legs and a report from Football Insider claims the Newcastle ace "could go on strike" to try and force through a move for himself.
His current contract with the Magpies runs until the summer of 2026. It is understood that Eddie Howe's side have slapped a hefty £75 million ($96m) valuation on the 23-year-old, which could rise to £100 million ($128m) including add-ons.

The Sun has followed up with a fresh report stating Gordon's move to Liverpool could trigger a potential domino effect.
It's reported that Crystal Palace are keeping close tabs on Gordon's situation as they fear that could see Newcastle make a bid for their star winger, Eberechi Eze, who has a reported £60 million ($76m) release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park.
