Manchester United's Mason Mount is set to miss four to five weeks of action after suffering a hamstring injury.
The midfielder, who was substituted at half-time during United’s recent loss to Brighton, will now miss crucial upcoming fixtures, including a clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The injury occurred during the first half of the Brighton match, with Mount reporting a sensation in his leg that didn’t feel quite right.
Although not in pain, the 25-year-old was taken off as a precaution, and subsequent assessments have confirmed the extent of the injury.

Mount's Frustration and Determination
Taking to Instagram, Mount shared his frustration with fans: “I’ve had it checked and it looks like I’ll be out for a few games... I will do everything possible to be back in the best shape and help the team.” His determination to return stronger reflects his desire to make an impact this season, having already struggled with injuries last year.
Mount, who joined United in a £55 million ($72) mmove from Chelsea in July 2023, had started the season brightly, impressing in the opening win against Fulham. His absence adds to Erik ten Hag's injury concerns, with several key players already sidelined, including Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund.
For now, United must navigate the next few weeks without one of their key midfielders, as Mount focuses on his recovery.
