Erik ten Hag is planning a major reshuffle of his Manchester United defence ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
The arrival of Leny Yoro from Lille was a vital power play from the Red Devils as the French centre-back opted against a move to Real Madrid to join United.
However, with doubts over the future of Harry Maguire, the Dutch boss is also rumoured to be tracking Bayern Munich defensive star Matthijs de Ligt.

Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw remain part of ten Hag's full back options but Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a departure.
The former Crystal Palace defender is rumoured to be frustrated by a lack of assurances over his first team role and ten Hag is on the hunt for right back alternates, with Dalot able to cover both flanks.
As per a fresh update from The Athletic, United's initial interest in de Ligt's Bayern Munich teammate Noussair Mazraoui has hit a dead end, with the Moroccan closing in on a switch to West Ham.
That has opened up an alternative deal, with Inter Milan potentially interested in Wan-Bissaka, as part of a swap agreement involving Denzel Dumfries.
Dumfries impressed for the Netherlands at Euro 2024, and offers a different profile to Wan-Bissaka, and a deal could suit both parties.
The duo are out of contract in Milan and Manchester respectively in 2025, with similar £20m ($25m) transfer valuations, and ten Hag is reportedly keen on working with his Dutch compatriot.
Left back could be the next area of focus for ten Hag with links to Crystal Palace's Tyrick Mitchell, or former Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso, with the latter available as a short-term free transfer option.
