Manchester United are striving to agree a contract extension with midfield star Kobbie Mainoo before the end of 2024.
Mainoo has rocketed to prominence in a struggling United team after a superb 12-month rise from academy star to first-team lynchpin.
The 19-year-old also played a key role in England's run to the final of UEFA Euro 2024 over the summer and his starting place at club level is rock solid under Erik ten Hag.

Despite uncertainty over Ten Hag's future in Manchester, the Red Devils want to tie Mainoo down, beyond his current deal.
Kobbie Mainoo's Man United contract, transfer value
There is no immediate concern for United fans over the potential of Mainoo moving on with his transfer value set at around £50m ($65m).
Following his breakthrough into Ten Hag's plans, the teenager signed a contract renewal in January 2023, which bonds him to United until the start of 2027.
That agreement includes a clause to extend until 2028, but United are looking to formalise that, and potentially stretch a fresh deal to 2030.
