Man City welcome Oasis reunion tour: 'We love a great comeback' image

Manchester City have warmly embraced the news that Oasis, the iconic band fronted by City's own Liam and Noel Gallagher, will reunite for a massive tour in 2025.

The announcement has thrilled fans of both the band and the football club, as the Gallagher brothers are well-known lifelong supporters of the Premier League champions.

The news comes 15 years after the band's dramatic split in 2009 following a heated fallout between the brothers in Paris. Since then, both Liam and Noel have pursued successful solo careers, but the announcement of their reunion has generated immense excitement across the UK.

The band will play 14 shows next summer, including four at Manchester's Heaton Park, a venue just a stone's throw from their hometown of Burnage.

Man City's comeback connection

City, known for their own dramatic comebacks, were quick to draw a parallel with their stunning 3-2 victory over Aston Villa on the final day of the 2021/22 season.

In a post on X celebrating the Oasis news, City highlighted their ability to bounce back from adversity, just as the Gallagher brothers have done by setting aside their differences for this long-awaited reunion.

In a press release, Oasis stated: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

Fans are eagerly anticipating what is sure to be an unforgettable series of concerts, with tickets expected to sell out rapidly when they go on sale on August 31.

The Oasis reunion tour will kick off in Cardiff on July 4, 2025, before moving on to Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

As the excitement builds, both City fans and Oasis enthusiasts are ready to celebrate the return of two of Manchester's most famous sons.
