Liverpool look to send Jurgen Klopp off into his sabbatical on a high note as the Reds host Wolves at Anfield on Sunday to close out the 2023/24 season.

Hired in 2015, the German has spent nine glittering seasons in Merseyside, winning eight trophies. Admitting he is exhausted, Klopp is set to depart this summer, prepared to take some time off to ponder his future.

Liverpool were in the title race for quite some time, but fell off down the stretch, thus leaving the club with little to play for on the final day other than an emotional send-off for their red-blooded boss.

Wolves have little left to play for, and it's showed, as they sit 13th in the Premier League table and have lost four of their last five, with just one win in their last nine.

Liverpool vs. Wolves prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Liverpool (-700)
  • Score prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Wolves

Liverpool have a solid motivating factor pushing them towards a winning finish, and Wolves simply do not. The Reds have picked themselves up after the rough patch that ruined their title chances, while their opponents just do not have anything to show for their final two months of the campaign.

Liverpool vs. Wolves best bet

  • Pick: Over 10.5 total corners
  • Odds: +100 (BetMGM)

Wolves are somewhat hit or miss with their verticality, but Liverpool are not. The Reds have won at least seven corners in all but two of their last 12 league games, grabbing double-digit corners in six of those games. Wolves have been prone to verticality in the past as well, giving up 10 corners to Nottingham Forest and 12 to Bournemouth since the start of April.

On the other end, the Reds don't give up a ton of corners, but Wolves should have enough to come to the table in this regard. They have won at least four corners in 10 of their last 14 games

Liverpool vs. Wolves prop bet

  • Pick: Luis Diaz anytime goal scorer
  • Odds: +145 (BetMGM)

Luis Diaz is mired in an ugly end-of-season slump, but given that every other Liverpool forward has goal scoring odds devoid of value, there's an opening here. Diaz has not scored in six matches, but he's been involved up front even so, with 10 shots in that span worth 1.38 xG.

The Colombian has needed high volume this year to cash in, but if he starts, he could be heavily involved in the buildup. Diaz grabbed three shots worth 0.42 xG in 42 minutes off the bench against Wolves last time they met, and he had three shots worth 0.40 xG in his only other game against Wolves, coming back in May of 2022. He should have opportunities.
