Liverpool’s promising young striker Jayden Danns will remain at the club after a back injury ended any hopes of a loan move this summer.
The 18-year-old, who made a strong impression during his brief stint with the senior team last season, will now focus on recovery at the AXA Training Centre.
Danns, who burst onto the scene last season amidst Liverpool's injury crisis, had been tipped for a loan move to gain valuable first-team experience. The youngster scored twice in five appearances under Jurgen Klopp, including a memorable brace in the FA Cup victory over Southampton.
However, a back injury has sidelined Danns for up to two months, derailing plans for a temporary transfer. New Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, who had hoped to assess Danns during the pre-season tour in the United States, will now have to wait until the striker is fully fit.

Injury setback alters Liverpool's plans for Danns
Liverpool had been considering sending Danns on loan to give him more game time, but with the injury worse than initially thought, those plans have been shelved. Danns will continue his rehabilitation under the careful watch of the club's medical staff, with no rush to return him to action.
Danns’ injury follows a pattern seen in other young talents at Liverpool, such as Kaide Gordon and Stefan Bajcetic, who also faced setbacks early in their careers.
Despite this, the club remains optimistic about his future, with hopes that he can bounce back stronger and continue his development once he returns to full fitness.
As the summer transfer window approaches its conclusion, Liverpool will continue to navigate their squad changes, but for Danns, the focus is now on recovery and preparing for a potential return later in the season.
