As Liverpool's summer transfer window remains eerily quiet, fans are growing increasingly anxious. Jamie Carragher, however, urges them to stay calm and trust in the club's strategy.
With Jurgen Klopp's departure in January after eight and a half years, Liverpool are under new management with Arne Slot at the helm. Despite significant behind-the-scenes changes, Liverpool is yet to secure a permanent transfer, making them the only top club in the Premier League not to have done so at this point.
This lack of activity has left fans worried, especially as rivals like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United have already strengthened their squads. However, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes the club’s history with transfers should give supporters confidence.
"No, they're not right to be concerned. You've got to trust the club," Carragher told SPORTbible. "What this club has done with transfer fees over the last eight to 10 years has been phenomenal. We've got the structure back at the club that everybody wanted, trust them, let them do their job."

Carragher emphasized that Liverpool are a strong team, making it challenging to find players who are clear upgrades. He also noted that Slot, the new manager, is still getting to know the squad.
"Liverpool are a very good team so it's not easy to go and find players who are better than what you've got. That's the only reason you should be bringing players in anyway," he explained.
He also mentioned that the club needs to offload some players before making new signings, pointing out that Liverpool’s squad is already large. However, one player he definitely doesn't want to see leave is Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Carragher concerned by possible Alexander-Arnold exit
The immediate priority for Slot is securing the futures of key players like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold, all of whom are entering the final year of their contracts.
Speculation about Alexander-Arnold potentially moving to Real Madrid has been particularly intense — especially after he was spotted recently holidaying with England teammate and Real star Jude Bellingham, where he signed a Real Madrid shirt for a fan — but Carragher remains hopeful Alexander-Arnold will stay.
He does, though, worry about the prospect of Real returning to tempt the full-back away next year.
"I've always believed he would stay. He's going to be the next captain. He's a local lad. I always think you have that greater affinity when you're a local player," Carragher continued.
"You've got to remember Real Madrid have got a decent right-back (Dani Carvajal). He's just won the Euros, and I think he's won the European Cup about six times. He's not a dud. My fear is that Real Madrid are thinking of signing him in another year's time because I don't think they're ready to offload [Dani] Carvajal just yet. Maybe in a year's time, who knows?
"I think it's all negotiation. With Jude, signing a Real Madrid top or whatever. I think it's all part of the game. I didn't play these games and I actually think I should have done, I'd have probably got a bit more money out of it! I only used to go in, have a chat, say what I wanted, Liverpool would say what they wanted and we'd meet in the middle. I wish I would have been putting all this stuff out myself! I'm sure it'll get sorted out."
