Adam Bogdan admits the competitive nature of the 2016-17 Premier League title race makes it almost impossible to predict where Liverpool will finish.
The Reds have positioned themselves among the leading pack, with Jurgen Klopp’s side currently perched seven points off the pace in third.
They have been the great entertainers of the English top-flight campaign to date, boasting the division’s best goal return and a leaky defence that always keeps things interesting at the other end of the field.
Klopp furious over Matip problem
Consistency has been maintained throughout 21 fixtures so far, with only two defeats suffered, but the exploits of others have ensured that they remain locked in a fierce battle for a top-four finish.
Bogdan concedes that anything could happen from this point, with Liverpool still looking upwards but aware that they are only five points clear of Manchester United in sixth.
He told Goal: “I’m sure it will be very exciting. This is the best Premier League in the recent years. There are six teams that can win the title.
“There is some advantage for Chelsea right now, but the others still have a chance. It is really hard to call which team will win, but Chelsea is the favourite now.”
On the Reds, he added: “I think Liverpool are in good form and they have a good playing style. They can win any of the matches.
Klopp: Utd resorted to long-ball tactics
“They have a chance to win the Premier League, but they still can be third or fourth. It is too early to say anything about the Premier League.”
Bogdan is currently an interested spectator having picked up a serious knee injury while on loan at Wigan Athletic.
He had been enjoying regular outings with the Latics but is refusing to get downbeat and hopes to force his way back into contention at Anfield and compete with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius for a starting berth.
“The most important thing is my physio treatment and after that we will see what happens in the summer,” said the 29-year-old goalkeeper.
“I would like to start the new season with the team, and then we will see. After this kind of injury, the most important thing is to get good fitness and form.
“I can say that I’m fine. I have to take care of my knee, because for my injury it is really important what happens in the first six weeks. I think I’m in a good way.”
Szereto targets PL opportunity
Bogdan was forced to undergo surgery after picking up the injury in November, but he is confident he will be fully fit for pre-season.
The Hungary international added: “They told me that with this injury I could be back in July, if everything goes well, but for some people it takes 12 months to be healthy.
“It is up to me, how my body reacts to the treatments. I think if everything is okay I will be with the team for pre-season training.”
