David de Gea has agreed a free transfer move to Serie A side Fiorentina over a year after leaving Manchester United.
The former Spanish international bought down the curtain on his Old Trafford career at the end of the 2023/24 campaign after 12 seasons in Manchester.
After talks to renew his contract did not yield a positive result, de Gea opted to run down the final weeks of his deal, and left after making 545 appearances in all competition.

De Gea's United tally makes him the highest non-British appearance maker at the club's history but he was unable to secure a new club after leaving the Premier League.
The 33-year-old reportedly rejected two offers from the Saudi Pro League, as he wanted to remain in Europe, despite a lack offers.

With the potential for another barren season, de Gea was rumoured to be considering retirement, before Fiorentina reached out to his representatives.
Raffaele Palladino's side have agreed a one-year deal with de Gea, with the option to extend for another season, if he impresses in the months ahead.
Fiorentina will also compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2024/25, after losing out to Olympiacos in the 2024 final.
