Former Liverpool star tips Arne Slot for bold Premier League title challenge image

Liverpool will be amongst three teams battling for the Premier League title this season according to former star Robbie Keane.

Arne Slot has enjoyed a perfect start to life on Merseyside with a 100% record so far in league action with three win from three games before the international break.

Only Liverpool and defending champions Manchester City have won three from three so far in 2024/25 as Reds fans adjust to the post-Jurgen Klopp era at Anfield.

Slot has earned rave reviews for his early days in charge, with a change in tactical style and greater focus on possession than under Klopp, with positive responses from his key players.

The title challenge still has a long way to go, if Liverpool want to win just their second-eve EPL crown, but Keane is confident they will battle with City and Arsenal.

"Liverpool have been the watch of the season so far, for me", he told an interview with Betway.

"They couldn’t have wished to get off to a better start, playing one of their rivals in Manchester United and winning 3-0. That will do their confidence the world of good.

"They look strong and Arne Slot has fitted in so well. He seems like a good guy, speaks very well, and I think they could be contenders. I think it’s going to be Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool in the top three again."

Liverpool return to EPL action this weekend as Slot's charges take on Nottingham Forest at home on September 14.
