The Blues have been backed to bring in plenty of fresh faces in the ongoing summer transfer window, having already completed some shrewd pieces of business.
Iliman Ndiaye has arrived from Marseille, while Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam has also completed a move to Goodison Park. Jesper Lindstrom has joined on loan from Napoli until the end of the season, while Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto has also been mentioned as a top target for the club.
Now, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin's future still up in the air, the Toffees are said to have turned their focus towards acquiring an out-and-out striker to fix their goalscoring issues next season.
🚨 L’Everton #EFC prende informazioni con la #Roma per Tammy #Abraham
— Gianluigi Longari (@Glongari) July 30, 2024
According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, Sean Dyche's side are interested in signing out-of-favor Roma striker Tammy Abraham and have approached the Italian club to enquire about a deal for the former Chelsea ace.
Compared to Didier Drogba due to his build type and playing style, the former Chelsea striker struggled with an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the 2023-24 campaign as he remained sidelined for the majority of the season. He made just 12 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and providing as many assists.

Should Everton sign Abraham?
Given his prior experiences with Chelsea and Villa in England, the Roma striker might be a perfect addition to Sean Dyche's side this summer, with Beto nowhere near the quality needed to spearhead the line for a Premier League side, with five goals to his name since arriving last summer.
While Abraham dealt a massive injury setback last season, his goals tally in England and first season in Rome speaks for itself. He scored 30 goals in 79 appearances at Stamford Bridge after returning from a successful loan spell at Villa Park, where he banged in 26 goals in 40 appearances during a stellar Championship campaign.
At Roma, he scored 27 times across all competitions during the 2022-23 campaign, including nine strikes in the Europa Conference League as he ended his debut season in Rome with another European winners' medal.
