Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca faced the media after his team’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in their final game of the USA tour.
With the Premier League season just around the corner, Blues fans are eager to know the availability of key players Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson for the start of the new campaign.
Palmer returned to Cobham today after a long summer break and his participation in the Euros with England. Chelsea supporters and staff are naturally thrilled to have him back, but questions remain about his readiness for the upcoming fixtures.
Maresca addressed those concerns, particularly regarding Palmer and Jackson’s availability for the preseason friendly against Inter Milan on Sunday, and the crucial Premier League opener against Manchester City a week later.

Will Palmer and Jackson play for Chelsea against Inter Milan?
When asked if Palmer and Jackson will be ready for the Inter Milan and Man City matches, Maresca responded:
"I'm not sure for Inter. Hopefully the City game," he said.
Maresca is optimistic that both players will be fit for the Manchester City match on the opening weekend of the new EPL season, and he emphasized the importance of having them ready for the league opener.
"They are all important players," he added. "Between Cole and Nicolas last year they scored almost 40 goals so they are both very important."
With under two weeks until the new Premier League season kicks off, Chelsea fans will be anxiously awaiting updates on both Palmer and Jackson’s fitness.
