Chelsea are looking to bolster their midfield this summer, with the signing of Fulham’s Andreas Pereira looking a distinct possibility.

According to Globo Esporte, the Blues have already reached out to the player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, to discuss the terms of a potential transfer.

Joorabchian has reportedly confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Pereira, although specific quotes from the agent were not provided. The west London club is thought willing to pay between £30 million-£35 million ($38.7 million-$45.2 million) for the Brazilian international.

Will Andreas Pereira move to Stamford Bridge this summer?

Chelsea could be planning to secure Pereira's services while managing other transfer dealings. One such deal involves selling Conor Gallagher, whose contract runs until 2025. It has been suggested that Chelsea will aim to sell Gallagher for £50 million and use part of that fee to fund Pereira's acquisition.

Pereira, a former Manchester United player, has two years left on his contract with Fulham, with an option for an additional year.

Despite interest from AS Monaco, which can offer Champions League football, Pereira seems to prefer to stay in London and join Chelsea, who have qualified for the UEFA Conference League next season.

Last month, Pereira was quoted as saying he would discuss his future with his agent, emphasizing he had not yet made a final decision.
