Brighton boss confirms triple injury boost ahead of Man United clash image

Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler enjoyed a dream Premier League debut as the Seagulls secured a season opening 3-0 win at Everton last weekend.

Hurzeler praised his squad for a superb showing on Merseyside as new signings Yankuba Minteh and Mats Wieffer registered assists at Goodison Park.

The Seagulls have bolstered their squad for the 2024/25 campaign with Minteh and Wieffer joined by fellow new arrivals Brajan Gruda and club record signing Georginio Rutter.

Up next for Hurzeler and his side is an EPL weekend home tie against Manchester United and he is hoping for some positive injury news on players who missed out against Everton.

"I look forward to meeting our fans, it's about making them proud when I'm wearing the Seagulls colours. That goes for my staff and players too", as peer quotes from BBC Sport.

"Evan Ferguson, Tariq Lamptey and Pervis Estupinan are back in training but we have to wait to see how their rehabilitation continues as they adapt to the intensity. We'll see if they are an option for the squad, but I'm very happy these three are back."

Hurzeler's update is a major boost for Brighton fans, ahead of their first home game of the campaign, with Ferguson and Estupinan missing the final two months of last season with a ankle injuries, and Lamptey injured in preseason.

Brighton could stick with an unchanged team against the Red Devils with the returning trio potentially on the bench at the AMEX Stadium.
