GAME PREVIEW

Eddie Howe Bournemouth

Eddie Howe steered Bournemouth to their highest ever finish last season, but the Cherries boss has been unable to inspire his troops this term.

Having finished ninth last season, ahead of the likes of West Ham and Leicester City, the expectation was that Howe would continue to guide the club on an upward trajectory.

Four games into the new campaign, however, and things are looking precarious; his team have only scored one goal - against Manchester City - and the dismissal of Frank de Boer from fellow strugglers Crystal Palace earlier this week brings the clash against Brighton into keener focus for the 39-year-old.

Brighton, in contrast, look to be settling into the division after two losses in their opening games and Chris Hughton's men come into the fixture on a three-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.

With new signings such as Pascal Gross, Davy Propper and Matt Ryan gelling with the new team-mates, and the likes of Anthony Knockaert returning to full fitness, the Seagulls will be no easy task for Howe's side.
