Aston Villa and Chelsea have submitted proposals for Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported.
Chelsea, along with several other Premier League clubs, had previously expressed interest in signing Maximilian Beier this summer. However, Serie A club Juventus has recently emerged as a strong contender for the German striker, particularly as their primary target, Karim Adeyemi, has proven to be too costly.
In the past 48 hours, both Chelsea and Aston Villa have made first moves to secure Beier by proposing personal terms. The 21-year-old has not yet verbally agreed to either team. Moreover, Hoffenheim has not begun negotiations with any club regarding Beier's transfer this summer.

The report also adds that Beier has a release clause of around €30 million ($32.5m) in his Hoffenheim contract that runs until June 2027.
Beier became Hoffenheim's youngest ever player to make a Bundesliga appearance in 2020, aged just 17, before securing a two-year loan switch to Hannover 96 in the second division, where he scored 10 goals in 63 outings.
