Amanda Staveley, who recently stepped down from the board of Newcastle United, is now on the lookout for her next big football investment and her investment fund, PCP Capital Partners, is reportedly considering several football clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

Staveley and her group are said to have raised about £500 million ($649 million), with Bloomberg claiming that she has already held initial discussions about buying a minority stake in Spurs

Other clubs Staveley is eyeing are said to include AS Monaco in France. Tottenham have so far yet to comment on the story; likewise Monaco.

Tottenham Hotspur on Amanda Staveley radar?

Tottenham finished fifth in the last Premier League season and despite not qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, they are still an attractive investment proposition.

The club's valuation stands at about €3.5 billion ($3.8 billion), including debt, according to Football Benchmark. Tottenham is majority-owned by ENIC Sports Inc., with Joe Lewis’s family holding just over 70% and chairman Daniel Levy and his family owning the rest.

Staveley’s tenure at Newcastle United saw the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 20 years and reach the finals of the Carabao Cup at Wembley. However, the team missed out on European qualification last season, finishing seventh in the Premier League.
