Following rumors linking Alexis Mac Allister with a move to Real Madrid, his father, Carlos, has clarified the situation regarding the Argentina midfielder's future.
Mac Allister, who joined Liverpool from Brighton & Hove Albion last year in a £35 million ($45.4 million) deal, enjoyed a successful debut season with the Reds, contributing seven goals and seven assists in 46 appearances.
That type of form has seen the Copa-America winning playmaker linked with a move to Champions League holders Real, but Carlos Mac Allister has emphasized that there is nothing to that talk.
However, he has left the door open for potential future offers, stating that any future moves would have to be discussed with Liverpool's management first.

Is Alexis Mac Allister leaving Liverpool?
"Alexis is performing very well at Liverpool, and this is the important thing to say at the moment," said Carlos Mac Allister in an interview with Egyptian site, MSR.
There are no negotiations from Real Madrid with Alexis, and the player will continue with Liverpool next season. If future offers arrive to sign Alexis, we will discuss them with Liverpool's management first.
The midfielder himself has expressed contentment with life at Liverpool earlier this summer, dismissing transfer speculation and reaffirming his happiness at the club.
"I don’t talk about assumptions, I’m very happy at Liverpool,” he said in May, via ESPN Argentina.
"I think it was a good season individually, then we had some objectives that we couldn’t meet, but I still think it was a very good season."
After helping Argentina to victory in the Copa America, Mac Allister is now on a three-week break and will join Liverpool for pre-season training in August.
