Chelsea are reportedly preparing a transfer move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the final days of the Premier League transfer window.
The Blues are working on multiple deals to bolster their squad, and offload players, to improve their financial standing as EPL rules on spending begin to tighten.
However, despite the pressure to cut costs, club owner Todd Boehly is open to backing a move to Osimhen if a deal can be reached in Naples.

Napoli have previously indicated the Nigerian has requested to move on this summer and Chelsea's interest appears to be the firmest.
Osmihen's record of 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli, including 26 league goals as they won the 2023 Serie A title, is the major pull factor for Chelsea.
A lack of a top-level striker remains a concern for Chelsea, with winger Cole Palmer ending last season as their top scorer on 22 EPL goals, but Napoli will demand around £80m ($103.5m) for the 25-year-old.
As talks continue, Chelsea have been given an unexpected helping hand, as former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel confirmed he is working hard to persuade his fellow Nigerian to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
"There's interest from both sides, he wants to make the move", as per reports from BeIN Sports.
"I think Chelsea want a proven goalscorer, and no disrespect to Nicolas Jackson, as last season he did well but we need more.
"We’ve had a few text messages here and there. I’ve told him how good the club is and what a fantastic place it is to improve.
"Chelsea is a massive club and he would like to follow in the footsteps of other Nigerians to play for them. I think it’s 60/40 in favour that Osimhen comes and Napoli could swap him for Romelu Lukaku."
Lukaku is determined to move on from the Blues, after returning from a loan spell at AS Roma, and he wants to play in Italy again this season.
