World Track & Field Championships Oregon 2022: TV schedule, live stream and more to watch image

This year's World Track and Field Championship has been a long time coming.

The competition usually runs on a two-year cycle. However, after the coronavirus pandemic pushed the Tokyo Olympics back a year, World Athletics opted to postpone the competition, which was scheduled for 2021, until this year.

The world's best athletes descend at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from July 15-24 — the first time the United States has hosted the event. There are a host of medals on the line.

With a number of Olympic gold medalists set to compete in the proceedings — including U.S. stars like Allyson Felix, Sydney McLaughlin and Ryan Crouser, Canadian decathlete Damian Warner, and legendary Jamaican sprinters Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price — the competition certainly won't be lacking in star power.
