For the first time, USA will defend a gold medal in women's volleyball.

In Tokyo, the USA swept Brazil for the gold, grabbing their sixth overall medal in the event and fourth straight. But the hardest part is living up to that standard.

USA is currently ranked fifth in the world, coming off its worst Volleyball Nations League performance this year. The Americans went 7-5 in group play before falling in the quarterfinals. The performance left a lot to wonder if the U.S. would make it to the podium in Paris.

Fortunately, they got back on their feet the USAV Cup, a trio of sendoff matches against the Netherlands. Team USA won all three, the last two being a sweep, reigniting faith in the defending gold medalists.

USA is not light on experience, with veterans like Jordyn Poulter, Annie Drews, Chiaka Ogbogu, and Jordan Larson. who's about to play in her fourth Games. Karch Kiraly and Team USA will be challenged in the group stage but prepared for the knockouts if the Americans survive.

You won't want to miss a moment of the action. Here's everything you need to know to watch USA women's volleyball at the Paris Olympics.
