After defeating the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals on Thursday, the USA will face Finland in the women's hockey semifinals at the 2022 Winter Olympics on Monday.
The Americans have won four of their five games in the tournament, with the only loss coming to archrival Canada in the last game of the preliminary round, but they had to rally to get past a Czech side that was playing in its first Olympics.
Captain Hilary Knight tied the game 1-1 in the second period, which gave the USA momentum heading into the third. It scored three goals in the final period for a 4-1 victory.
The USA is expected to advance to the final, where it will likely face Canada in a rematch of the 2018 gold-medal game.
