3x3 basketball will be played as an Olympic sport for the second time at the 2024 Games in Paris.
The United States revealed its women's basketball 3x3 roster on Wednesday and there are plenty of familiar names.
Los Angeles Sparks star rookie Cameron Brink headlines the group of four women who will represent the Red, White and Blue. She is joined by 2022 WNBA No. 1 overall pick Rhyne Howard, college basketball star Hailey Van Lith and 3x3 women's basketball legend Cierra Burdick.

United States Olympic 3x3 women's basketball roster
The U.S. 3x3 women's basketball roster has continuity working to its advantage ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In 2023, Brink, Van Lith and Burdick were all a part of the USA women's 3x3 team that won gold at the FIBA World Cup in Austria. Adding Howard — a two-time All-Star and former WNBA Rookie of the Year — will only bolster the talent on the four-women roster.

3x3 basketball rules
3x3 Olympic basketball uses a lot of the same rules you may have played on the playground growing up, mixed with a game clock, shot clock and free throws from the regular 5-on-5 game.
The game clock is set to 10 minutes and there is a 12-second shot clock. The scoring system goes by 1s and 2s (instead of 2s and 3s).
The first team to score 21 points wins, or whichever team is leading after 10 minutes if the target score is not reached. If teams are tied after 10 minutes, overtime is decided by the first team to score two points (or reach 21 points).
Possession changes off every made basket. Defensive rebounds, steals and blocks must be cleared beyond the 3-point line.
