Simone Biles floor routine today: USA gymnastics star gets standing ovation, clinches first team gold since 2016 image

Simone Biles competes the most difficult floor routine in the world, and she brought out the big guns to help Team USA seal the gold medal in the women's gymnastics team finals.

When the opening bass of Taylor Swift's "…Ready For It?" filled the arena, there was nothing that could stop Biles. She began her routine with the Biles II, the first of two skills named after her in the exercise. After another difficult tumbling pass and a dance sequence, she completed the Biles I, and looked steady into the final tumbling sequence.

She nailed her final pass and, despite stepping out of bounds twice briefly, she clinched first place for Team USA, earning their first gold since 2016 in Rio. Here's everything you need to know about Biles' floor routine from the team event final in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

What was Simone Biles' floor routine score?

Biles scored a 14.666 on her floor routine in the team final, just higher than her top qualifying mark of 14.600. With a performance like this in the floor exercise final, she could repeat her gold medal in the event from the 2016 Games in Rio.
