Simone Biles is proving that she's still the best gymnast in the world even after suffering a leg injury.
The 27-year-old felt some discomfort in her leg and was limping on Sunday, but she placed first in multiple events during the qualifying round at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Biles is on a quest for gold after withdrawing from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. She's won four Olympic gold medals, all at the 2016 Rio Games. As she looks to medal at the 2024 Olympics, she'll be doing so through injury.
Here's the latest on Biles and her taped leg.

The star gymnast went through her beam routine but left the floor shortly after to get her leg taped up.
It's a minor injury that was re-aggravated on Sunday, Biles' coach Cecile Landi said.
Simone Biles’s injury is a minor calf issue from a couple of weeks ago that flared up during floor warmups, according to her coach, Cecile Landi. There was no discussion of her withdrawing from the competition.

Despite the injury, Biles dominated the qualifying round of the all-around. She posted a 59.566, earning first place. She also placed first in the vault and floor exercises on Sunday.
As it stands, Biles will continue competing at the Olympics. There hasn't been any discussion of leaving due to injury, Landi said.
"We told her to remind herself, like she’s capable of doing it," Landi said. "She knows she’s got it and it's OK and then she did. So, really excited for her."
