Audiences will get to see three sports in one with the men's, women's and mixed team relay triathlon events at the Paris Olympics.

The three-part race features a 0.93 mile swim, a 25-mile cycle and a 6.2 mile run to the finish line.

For mixed team relay challenges, the swim is 330 yards; the cycling portion is five miles for each athlete, followed by a 1.2-mile run. The Tokyo games brought the debut of the mixed team relay, featuring two men and two women from each nation, with the United States capturing silver.

In Tokyo 2021, Bermuda's Flora Duffy broke the women's Olympic triathlon record with a time of 1 hour, 55 minutes, 36 seconds. Great Britain's Beth Potter and Georgia Taylor-Brown can also contend for a medal.

On the men's side, Seth Rider, Morgan Pearson, Taylor Spivey, Kirsten Kasper and Taylor Knibb will represent Team USA.

After a swim through the Seine, a bike ride through the heart of Paris and a run back through Paris to the Pont Alexandre III bridge, winners will be crowned.

Here is everything you need to know to watch men's and women's triathlon at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including the schedule and how to watch each race.

Olympic triathlon schedule 2024

The men's final was scheduled for July 30 but has been postponed until July 31 due to "water quality levels that did not provide sufficient guarantees to allow the event to be held," organizers said.

If water quality has not reached a safe level on the 31st, the men's and women's races likely will be held on Friday, Aug. 2.
