At long last, the 2024 Summer Olympics are here.

The world's greatest athletes are in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, with the Opening Ceremony kicking off the games on July 26.

For the first time ever, the Olympics Opening Ceremony will not take place in a stadium; it will be held on the river Seine with 94 boats carrying the athletes down a 3.7 mile stretch of water. A total of 10,500 athletes from 206 countries will be in attendance at the ceremony.

The ceremony will also feature performers and dancers along the route on both the boats and bridges. The ceremony will conclude with the lighting of the Olympic flame.

Simone Biles, LeBron James, Sha'Carri Richardson, Katie Ledecky and Novak Djokovic are some of the biggest athletes set to take on Paris.

What time is the Olympics opening ceremony?

NBC's coverage of the 2024 Opening Ceremony begins with its preview show at noon ET on Friday, July 26. The actual Opening Ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. ET.

NBC's encore presentation of the Opening Ceremony is scheduled for primetime, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Where to watch Olympics opening ceremony: TV channel, live stream

The Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will air live on NBC. Mike Tirico will host the ceremony alongside Kelly Clarkson, Peyton Manning, Maria Taylor, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
