Sun, sand, and the Eiffel Tower. What's not to love about beach volleyball at the Olympics?
Paris is ready for the eighth edition of the sport. With two weeks' worth of matches, there's plenty to go around.
The American women are ready to keep the winning tradition. They've won four of the past five gold medals, but this year's Games will be the first time since 2000 that neither Kerri Walsh Jennings nor April Ross will be playing. Rather, Sara Hughes, Taryn Kloth, and Kristen Nuss will be making their Olympic debuts, with Kelly Cheng returning for her second Games.
It'll be a tough awakening for pair Kloth and Nuss, who face Tokyo silver medalists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho of Australia in group play. Semifinalists Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova of Latvia return, too. The pair will face Zoé Vergé-Dépré, sister of silver medalist Anouk Vergé-Dépré, in their group.

On the men's side, it's Norway's Anders Mol and Christian Sorum's medal to lose. The pair finally captured the gold in Tokyo after much success in European and international competitions. Bronze medalists Ahmed Tijan and Cherif Younousse of Qatar also return to the field.
Most of the men's competition is new this year, either making their Olympic debut or returning with new partners. The excitement only builds.

Beach volleyball will be primarily broadcast on E! and USA Network. Select matches will be available on NBC and CNBC.

Olympic beach volleyball venue 2024
- Venue: Eiffel Tower Stadium
Beach volleyball matches will be played on a make-shift court directly in front of the Eiffel Tower in the Champ-de-Mars.
While beach volleyball is the only sport to be played at the Eiffel Tower Stadium, the arena is not too far from Champ de Mars Arena, Pont d'Iéna, Grand Palais, and Invalides.
