Katie Ledecky made her Olympic debut at age 15, and it was one for the ages. She stunningly won the women's 800-meter freestyle despite her inexperience compared to the rest of the field, and she proved in 2016 and 2020 that it was no fluke.
That level of dominance doesn't happen without intense dedication. Ledecky said earlier in April that she trains 25-30 hours each week, including 20 hours in the pool. As she gets older, training becomes even more of a priority in order to keep her body in top condition.
That leaves little time for anything else. Ledecky discussed her training regimen in 2021, detailing how she rarely got to spend time with her family or even coaches as she isolated and trained hard for the delayed Tokyo Olympics. That commitment paid off in the end, as Ledecky won four medals in 2021.

Katie Ledecky dating timeline
Ledecky isn't known to be dating anyone at the moment, and she has never publicly revealed any relationship.
That doesn't necessarily mean Ledecky hasn't dated anyone or isn't dating anyone right now. Plenty of public figures keep their private life under wraps, particularly when it might involve a partner who doesn't care for the media attention.
However, Ledecky indicated in 2021 that she doesn't have much time for a dating life.
"[Dating] hasn't been a focus of mine over the past several years," Ledecky told Us Weekly, adding that she would "love to have a family at some point in the future."
It's been three years, but the compressed timeline between the Tokyo Olympics and the Paris Olympics likely didn't leave Ledecky with much time to actively seek a relationship. She made it a goal of hers to compete in 2024, and she's done well enough over the last three years to enter Paris as a gold medal favorite in two different events.
If Ledecky has found time for dating over the last three years, she's keeping that information close to her chest and making sure the focus stays on swimming as she looks to add to her impressive Olympic medal count.

She has won gold in the 800m freestyle in each of the last three Olympics and is favored to win it again in Paris. Ledecky is also heavily favored to win the 1500m freestyle for the second consecutive Olympics.
While much of Ledecky's personal life is unknown, likely by design, it's clear she spends a great deal of it training to keep herself in excellent condition. With a fifth Olympic appearance still on the table in 2028, the next four years might look similar for the swimming legend.
