Core Hydration Classic gymnastics results: Updated scores, winners for Simone Biles, more at 2024 meet image

Gymnastics fans are in for a treat over the weekend.

For the first time in history, there will be three U.S. Olympic all-around gold medalists competing in the same event. Gabby Douglas (2012), Simone Biles (2016) and Suni Lee (2020) will converge on the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., for the 2024 Core Hydration Classic.

There will be plenty on the line when the three meet in the event. Though all three have clinched their appearance in the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships, the meet is also a key event in helping determine who will comprise the 2024 U.S. Olympic gymnastics team.

It hasn't been easy for either Douglas or Lee to reach this stage. Douglas has been working on making a long-awaited comeback, participating most recently in the American Classic in April. She showed promise, though was still a bit rusty in the event. She'll now try to re-prove herself further in the highly competitive showdown.

Lee had two different kidney diseases last year, and her road back has been challenging as well. The Auburn product is aiming to get back into form before the team heads to Paris for the Olympics.

While Douglas, Lee and Biles have their spot saved for the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, there are plenty of others looking to advance to that competition, keeping the hopes of representing the red, white and blue alive.
