Katsina United will name Abdullahi Biffo as their new head coach after the former Abia Warriors’ tactician ended his negotiations with Enyimba abruptly.
Biffo confirmed to Goal that he arrived in Aba last weekend to hold discussions with the chairman of Enyimba, Felix Anyansi Agwu but that he decided to opt for Katsina United after he found out that he won’t become the head coach of the team.
“I am in Katsina right now and I will sign to become the head coach of the team by Wednesday afternoon (today). I am no longer interested in the deal to Enyimba and that is just a little I can say about that for now,” Biffo told Goal.
“I am looking forward to another adventure devoid of problems. I can’t say much now until everything has been signed, sealed and delivered.
“I had a good experience with Abia Warriors last season but both parties chose to end the relationship at the end of the season and I don’t have any problem with that,” he added.
Biffo helped Abia Warriors to finish the 2016/2017 season in 12th spot on the standings with 53 points from 38 games and he is to take over from Baldwin Bazuaye who unceremoniously left the club to become the coach of Bendel Insurance.
