Jordan Eberle wasn't suprised by being traded to the New York Islanders.
In fact, Eberle reiterated to the Edmonton Sun that it's "unlikely" that a player remains with one team for the entirety of a career. On Tuesday, Eberle stood opposite the Edmonton Oilers, the team that drafted him at the 2008 NHL Draft. It was the first time he went head-to-head with the Oilers.
With the Islanders trailing Edmonton 1-0, Isles forward Mat Barzal corralled the puck away from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Barzal then dropped the puck back to Eberle who proceeded to place the shot past Oilers goaltender Cam Talbot.

Eberle has 12 points in 15 games with the Islanders. The man that the Oilers traded him for, Ryan Strome, has points in his last two games and has five points in his first season in Edmonton.
