COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus’ Josh Anderson took a vicious high hit from Boston defenseman Charlie McAvoy in the second period of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Monday at Nationwide Arena.
Anderson was checked into the boards by McAvoy at 19:40 in the second period. Anderson was assisted by trainers on the ice before being helped up.
Officials reviewed the hit for several minutes before giving McAvoy a two-minute minor for an illegal check on the hit.
