Vince Dunn injury update: Blues defenseman out Game 4 after taking puck to mouth image

The Blues lost a key defenseman Wednesday.

Vince Dunn did not return to Game 3 after he took a puck to the mouth while trying to keep the Sharks away from the front of the net.

Coach Craig Berube announced Thursday, Dunn is day-to-day, but it has not clear exactly what his injury is. He will be out for Game 4 as well.

Dunn has two goals and five assists in the playoffs.

The 2015 second-round pick had a career year for the Blues this season tallying 12 goals and 23 assists (35 points) while playing key minutes on St. Louis' third blue line.

The Sharks took a 2-1 series lead in a controversial 5-4 overtime win in Game 3.

Game 4 is scheduled to be played at 8 p.m. ET on Friday in St. Louis.
