Victor Mete left early in the second period of Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers and was ruled out by the team for the remainder of the contest with a lower-body injury.
TSN's John Lu reported that Mete will not travel with the team to Boston on Saturday night and will be re-evaluated on Sunday.
The injury was possibly sustained when his knee knocked that of a Flyers defenseman near the Philadelphia blueline. Mete was shown with a slight limp as he made his way to the bench, favoring that leg, and did not return to the ice after.

Looks like he bumps leg with Flyers D-man (hopefully not knee) #Habs pic.twitter.com/2YP7ED11S5
He was on the ice for a 28-second shift prior to the minor collision so it is possible he was previously injured and tried to play through it, but regardless, he was not on the ice for the last period-plus in the Habs' 4-3 OT loss.
Mete has three goals — the first of his three-year career — and five assists in 26 games this season and is on-pace to blow his career-high 13 points from last season well out of the water.
