The Utah Hockey Club plays its first regular-season game in franchise history against the Blackhawks on Tuesday evening, beginning the 2024-25 NHL season.
Utah closed out its preseason slate with a 2-1 victory over the Avalanche on Saturday. Under head coach André Tourigny, the Utah Hockey Club glided to a 5-2 preseason record.
Utah's roster is headlined by first-round pick Tij Iginla, team captain Clayton Keller, and veteran defenseman Mikhail Sergachev.
The Blackhawks have finished 15th in the Western Conference in consecutive seasons. Yet they tout one of the top young players in the NHL in Connor Bedard, the brilliant 19-year-old who won the Calder Memorial Trophy last season.
