The Western Conference finals shifts to Edmonton with the Stars and Oilers knotted at 1-1, as a pivotal Game 3 clash looms on Monday night.

Dallas scored twice in the third period on Saturday night to secure a crucial Game 2 victory. Mason Marchment netted the eventual game-winning goal, while Jake Oettinger secured 28 saves in net.

Edmonton stole Game 1 on the road with a dramatic 3-2 double-overtime victory. Connor McDavid played hero with the game-winner, as the Oilers persevered despite relinquishing a 2-0 lead.

But the Stars once again showcased their championship-caliber mettle in Game 2. They have now dropped Game 1 in seven consecutive best-of-seven playoff series, including all three rounds in the 2024 NHL Playoffs. Thus far, the deficits have merely been minor obstacles, not roadblocks.
