A two-goal deficit halfway through the period was nothing the Boston Bruins couldn't handle.

They scored four within eight minutes — one of which was a late empty-netter — to tie the Eastern Conference semifinal series with the 5-3 Game 2 victory. The series will move to Montreal Tuesday for Game 3.

The Bruins trailed 3-1 with just over nine minutes left before Dougie Hamilton scored, then Patrice Bergeron tied it with 5:43 remaining. With 3:32 left, Reilly Smith wristed a cross-ice pass from Torey Krug past Carey Price to give Boston the lead.

Tuukka Rask had 25 saves for Boston. Milan Lucic added an empty-netter with 66 seconds left.

Price stopped 30 shots for Montreal. Thomas Vanek twice tipped P.K. Subban slap shots into the net, and Mike Weaver also scored for the Canadiens.

Games 3 and 4 are in Montreal on Tuesday and Thursday.
